I took the CNPR training back in 1999 and it helped me gain entry into a pharmaceutical sales career which I love every day. I plan on staying in the industry indefinetly. Science and technical industry is crucial when seeking employment as a pharmaceutical sales rep. The CNPR training will provide all of that knowledge to you.
I just wanted to thank you and tell others that this program is a wise investment. I recently took the exam and scored a 92%. Since passing the exam I have been receiving calls from companies wanting interviews. Most importantly, the certification and training has given me the qualifications that I was lacking before. Thanks again.
WASHINGTON, DC – The NAPRx® is happy to announce that it has reached an agreement to begin offering the Certified National Pharmaceutical Representative (CNPR®) training program immediately to hundreds of U.S. universities and colleges. The 120-hour course will be offered exclusively through a partnership with major colleges and universities.
Developed in response to a rising demand for certified pharmaceutical sales representatives, the nationally recognized online certification and CNPR® sales training program will provide individuals with the tools to gain entry-level jobs in the industry. Upon registering for the course, students will automatically gain membership with NAPRx® and will become eligible to sit for the CNPR® national certification exam at no additional cost.
“There is a great demand for pharmaceutical sales reps, which means there is an equal need for solid training devices,” said Stephen Gatlin. “In short order, this program will become one of our most popular offerings. Pharmaceutical sales can be a very rewarding career, and the first step toward realizing that is completing the CNPR® entry level pharmaceutical sales course.”
Even if students lack a formal pharmacology and medical education, the program can ready them for a long and successful career by imparting information regarding general medical terminology, clinical pharmacology, managed care, drug sampling rules, effective selling techniques and more.
Upon completing the course, students will have gained a comprehensive understanding of the industry, including the role of the FDA, drug products and developments, and how to make an effective pharmaceutical sales pitch. Students will also be prepared to take the CNPR® certification exam.
“The field is adding 11,000 new jobs this year, and obviously they can’t all be filled by experienced reps,” said Brad Sullivan of the NAPRx®. “Companies will not only be looking to hire professionals who can sell and motivate physicians to buy their brand, but also for someone who can speak intelligently about the healthcare industry and its products. The CNPR® training is a great avenue to gain the knowledge of clinical pharmacology and medical terminology that is essential to success as a pharmaceutical sales rep as well as qualifying for job openings.”
HEY CNPR (and I know you’re reading this),
Just want to thank you for spamming every other topic board on the internet regarding getting into pharm rep. “Brenda”, “Brad”, and others show up everywhere, saying the same crafted thing.
I probably would have purchased the course by now, but thanks to your shady practices, I’m going to hold on my cash a little longer and wait for someone from an HR department to call me back to confirm that you are/are not a scheme!
Thanks again!
