I’ve been a musician for my whole life, I’d had great success with every single show I did, and had big turnouts, many of whom I have no clue who they are, so I know there’s many people who just want to come and see a performer like me play. So I know there’s a market. I have done so much to promote myself, so much to publish my music, I’d not made any money except with my live performances, and even then, it was on the paltry side of the money making scheme, either other bands robbed the door charges before I got to it, or I never got paid. I have been told that if I had someone representing me and had them hunt down gigs, I could make a ton of money in a short amount of time with the skills I have, and that I don’t know what I’m doing, that I need to find someone who can handle the business end of everything, and someone else to handle the promotions… So I need an agent and a promoter. The music I do seems to sell it’s self, but because I’m clueless as to how to really get the job done on the business end, I’m stunted professionally. I’ve worked my whole life on music and nothing but music, so I’m really good at music, but I don’t understand methods of how to sell it, I’d tried selling cds online, never happened once, I tried finding bandmates to get my projects off the ground, I keep finding people who’re space cadets, barely professional, and barely able to play music, highly amateur. As a soloist, I’d made tons of money just from being in the flow and having people invite me to shows, but now no one’s inviting me to shows, I’d moved and lost contact with many people, so now I see it’s a vital necessity to create my own flow, and the best way to do it is to have someone represent for me, and help me find gigs and recording contracts, business deals, selling and distributing cds, I have no clue how to do that. Someone help!

The world we live in has a constant need for careers in sales. Without sales businesses wouldn’t make any money on products or services. A sales career can be very profitable as well especially for those who have undergone sales training or are just naturally sales-oriented people. Just because you weren’t born with some of the desired skills of great sales people don’t mean that you can’t be a great salesperson yourself. There are a number of online sales training programs that also include corporate sales training to help you develop the skills you need to succeed.
Anybody can obtain a career in sales but those who have sales experience or some sales training under their belts will probably be a lot more effective than those without experience or training. A good salesman will be someone who is positive, motivated and who believes in themselves. They need to have the patience to keep going even after they’ve received several “no’s” and they know how important it is to smile and laugh a lot. These skills are easier for people to possess than others but anybody can be a successful salesperson if they want it bad enough and are willing to work hard.

Anyone care to give a non biased summary? I don’t really care about people’s opinions btw(most of the time biased)…just the facts, but I’m hoping a semi-expert can provide some reasoning or a summary. Here are some random facts I know not in any order.
Youtube was blocked following a video of tibetan violence. Police beating up people, police may not have been real police. Youtube has been blocked since. 2008 I think.

I live in Salt Lake City and have been working as printing press operator for the last 14 years. I’m just getting really tired of the stress and the physical beating that I have been enduring. I think of myself as a bright person who can learn to do just about anything.
I have good computer skills (mostly with Macs), mechanical skills and organizational skills. I’m very accustomed to working hard and solving many problems during a work day and I always strive to become very good at everything I do.

I’m an 18 y/o college freshman applying for jobs in a call center and at the front-desk of hotels. I have only had one job, so I tried to sell myself by stating my skills. I would like to know if this sounds professional enough:
“I am very knowledgeable with technology, including computers and computer programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Internet. I also have experience in answering phones, filing, making copies, faxing material, and am able to type 68 wpm. I am a very fast learner and I have excellent customer service skills.”

We produce children and hobby videos. It is hard for us to sell our product in large retail stores, cause people don’t recognize our name. We do have a fan base, but we don’t have the recognition that we want. The products are: toy trains, John Deere, and CAT Machines.
Any suggestions would be great. We are a small business, so nothing too expensive.
