That’s right – mind over matter! A sale is all about psychology believe it or not. Why do you think that so many sales strategies revolve around a campaign targeted to specific individuals? Think of an advert on TV for air freshener. They target housewives and mom’s who are expected to have tidy, neat and fresh smelling homes, and convince them that a special fragrance or time release device will work so much better for them. When you learn about sales training, you will find that all of these types of sales techniques are covered. These will all make you better at your job, and who doesn’t want that, right? See, I am making a sales pitch to you right now!

I have a friend who’s son is autistic with amazing musical and vocal skills. They are thinking about making a professional quality compilation cd of Beatles and various artist’s songs to sell at open mic nights and showcases where he performs. Does anyone know if this is legal?

So, im applying to FIT’s menswear design program and i have to submit my personal essay. Below is what i have so far, but i wanted to get some opinions on it. I’m still working on my finishing paragraph and am open to any suggestions on finishing it. Any other suggestions are welcome as well =).

Six months ago, I realized what my true passion in life is – it’s fashion! It may sound like a cliché, but it’s true to my heart and something I’m committed to pursue. When I think of fashion, attending FIT, taking classes in fashion illustration, sewing mechanics, tailoring, and being able to make my own clothing someday – I feel passion and excitement. This is how I want to feel everyday for the rest of my life. Even though I’m graduating with a degree in Physical Education and Health this May, I don’t feel inspired or excited, which is a big red flag for me. As a matter of fact, I don’t think I’ve been this inspired throughout my whole collegiate career. All I’ve done is listen to what others thought I should do, and not what I really wanted to do! But for the first time in my life, I’m not going to settle. I’m going to pursue something real and true to what will make me the happiest person in the world – and that’s attending FIT and becoming a menswear designer.

In any major sale, a prospect makes a predictable series of buying decisions that lead up to the final purchasing decision. The first and most important of these is: “Do I ‘buy’ the salesperson?” This decision is always made before the prospect will seriously consider other factors such as product features or price.

Most salespeople devote the majority of their selling time to “pitching” their products or services. Here’s the problem: Whether prospects realize it or not, the first thing they decide is whether they like and trust you. If you bury your prospect beneath a mountain of product features while they are making the salesperson decision, you’re probably in deep trouble.

Customers perceive sales negotiations as emotionally stressful experiences. Analysis tells us that most of the customers aren’t pleased with the treatment they receive from sales professionals and don’t enjoy the thought of sales negotiation or the actual expertise as they believe it is not a level enjoying field. Customers want an honest and clear process, expecting assistance and guidance from a salesperson that is curious about them.

Coming up with an efficient sale negotiation is the method of bringing a sale to its successful conclusion. It is not splitting the distinction to shut a deal, it is not having the client use their leverage to form a deal that is untenable for us, and it’s not us using our leverage to make a deal that’s not good for the client. Sales negotiations is merely understanding the client’s desires or what we have a tendency to call interests, creating a level playing field and then putting along or synthesizing a solution.

I was researching a Sales Executive position within the company I am working for and had a phone meeting with the Director of Recruiting. She told me they only hire sales people that have a “Book of Business” and have sales experience from within the Collections Industry (it’s a national AR Collections company offering outsourcing services to Health Care, Government, Telecommunications, & Financing markets). She said they do not hire sales people from any of their target markets.

My response was, “Wow, you can use another company’s client list?” She told me that non-competes were not used in industry and that this is a standard industry practice. She named 2 competing companies that had sales training programs, and that she commonly hires sales exec’s from, for me to go to to build my experience.

Automtotive Sales Training

Automotive sales training is the one thing that we all think
we have enough of until we get more. That’s right no matter
how good you are today, you can always become better. And
once we do get a little bit better or learn a new technique
it is normally pretty easy to reflect back on the deals that
we have worked in the not so distant past and think, “Wow, If
I had only known this last week when I was with “Mr. & Mrs
__________, I probably would have sold them a car.
