A question that is often asked on sales training courses is ‘how should I dress?’ I think this is a vitally important question. You see a prospect will subconsciously have a perception of you built up in their mind in the first 30 seconds to 1 minute of a sales call.
The old saying you only get one chance to make a good first impression is vital. Sales training courses will tell you that these first introductions are vital and we all know the importance of the firm but not wrestle mania type hand shake as opposed to the wet fish hand shake. We also know the importance of eye contact although we must always consider that all cultures are not the same and eye contact, handshakes etc may not be correct in some cultures.

My huge problem is that one way or another i want to be rich and free and entrepreneurial and an investor, however I’m not attracted to the outcome of being rich and enjoy freedom like normal people are which is mostly money, i know i want freedom and wealth, however i can’t seem to motivate me enough to actually want it so bad that i’ll do anything in my power to make it happen.
From day to day I just get by, i do a little in my business, i work 40hours a week, and i attend some training from the MLM company I’m in, but i’m not attracted by the money while other people in my MLM company are like moving and moving creating customers daily while i’m not into the money/sales part at all..

Guys first of all let me say I am not your typical Mexican. I am 33 and was born, raised and live in Tijuana Mexico across from San Diego CA.
I am a music artist just signed by a record label in the UK (England).
I do English and Scottish brogues for commercials and videos as well as character voices for dubbing movies (from English 2 Spanish and viceversa)
I have a T-Shirt brand I made up
I have a BA in Communications and advertising
I have been a TV reporter and sportscaster (Have covered the Superbowl, dude I’ve been to a Superbowl! Check off my bucket list
.
I speak English as good as Spanish
I am a published author (albeit in English travel magazines, but published non-the-less)
I’m a rambling Mexican, I have traveled through Europe for months at a time, have driven from New York to Seattle and then to San Diego also for months.
I played football (American Football, not soccer) for 8 years (since junior high to college)
I am a freelance creative copywriter for ad agencies
As you can see I do not fit the first connotation (racist or not) people have set as a paradigm or preconception for Mexicans. But man, due to so many of my “paisanos” being in the US illegally it is so stinkin difficult for those of us who would like a shot at trying our talents there legally to even get a shot.

I’m a young artist, and I’ve been considering selling some of the better pieces in my portfolio for a while now. The trouble is, I don’t know where to get started. I’ve already got some pieces ready; mostly watercolor paintings, some acrylic paintings, and several others that have mixed medias. It’s mostly two-dimensional stuff, but I dip into a bit of every new style or media that I come across.
So, for those of you professional artists that sell your work, where did YOU go to start making money off of your skills?

Sales training is not new! In point of fact, it’s been in existence almost since the dawn of time. There are numerous Biblical stories which show the worth of some of the age-old habits. Two, in particular, are well worth a second look even today. The Parable of the Sower and the Parable of the Fig Tree both have intrinsic wisdom which many sales people don’t always appreciate.
The basic truths of these lessons from the past are used in many of today’s training courses although, perhaps, you may find them wearing new clothes in a modern incarnation. All selling is based on arithmetic because there is a relationship between the number of approaches and the number of sales.

i received a job offer from a well known car company and they have a great salary for their training program. i dont know if i would be interested in selling cars but i was just wondering if anyone knew what kind of training you received.
i am definatly not interested in selling cars it’s not my thing but i would be interested in the so-called guaranteed $6,000 weekly training. that’s why i was wondering.
